FAQ's
Q: Who will benefit from Suspension Training®?
Everyone can benefit because at Hermosa Pilates, our trainer controls the resistance and level of difficulty based on your current level of athletic ability, endurance and strength.
The TRX® Suspension Trainer™ is perfect for rehabilitation, intense athletic training, and everything in between.
TRX allows for complete ranges of motion throughout a workout, which in turn creates a more functional, safer and more successful method of training for our client.

Q: How is Suspension Training® different from other types of resistance training?
Traditional weight training tends to work one muscle at a time which is contradictory to a normal coordinated muscle effort used in most activities in life. Focusing on only one
muscle at a time can lead to overuse injuries and muscular imbalances, as well as potentially limit strength and movement gains. Both  Pilates and TRX allow for the use of
multiple planes of motion, working multiple muscles and joints throughout a workout. We believe that functional training is the smarter and more effective way to train.

Q: I’ve heard the TRX® and Pilates are great for rehabilitation after an injury?
Many physical therapists use both Pilates and the TRX to help their patients during the recovery process from injuries.
Being able to adjust resistance with our studio equipment  makes functional training successful at all levels of practice.

Q: How long are the workouts?
Training is 55 minutes in length. Workouts begin on the Pilates reformer and then transition to your TRX training.
Workouts are done as a Private session or in groups of 3 where you will move from the Pilates Reformer, TRX, Medicine Ball and Bosu Ball.
